Descrizione

Lunghezza massima 8,5 cm SL maschio Può essere differenziato da Scardinius erythrophthalmus avendo la seguente combinazione di caratteri: corpo e testa compatti, larghezza della testa 15-17% SL, lunghezza della testa 28-31% e caudale profondità del peduncolo 1,3-1,7 volte nella sua lunghezza. Diffusione

Specie presente soltanto in alcune fonti termali. Abita sorgenti termali densamente vegetate, poco profonde con fondo fangoso.
